Course Reflection

I wasn't sure what to expect at first signing up for this course. Originally I was intimidated because I had heard that "Laurie teaches it as a 4 credit course" and that it was very hard. What I actually found out was that the course itself requires a certain level of creativity in the marketing area of whatever your business is. I believe that I excelled at my own creativity for the scope of this course.

I expected to learn more about social media and the way everything works from a business perspective. How to reach followers, get them to react to your posts, and how to overall reach the target market in a way that would get our followers to share our posts to gain more followers.

What I learned was how to setup multiple accounts and keep up to date with all of them posting at peak hours of the day. I learned what it means to really engage my followers and incite valuable responses. I also found out that for my particular market Twitter would be my best avenue for reaching people.

My favorite experience in this class was probably when I had to post about the fall harvest and all of the amazing Photoshop pictures I was able to create in excitement. I loved being able to follow popular trends and put my own spin on them for my posts. Lastly, I enjoyed being freely able to take abstract concepts for video games and just apply them to the market, collaborating with some of my class mates for a larger post response.

Don't be "Just Another Guy" this November.

Don't spend another November being clean shaven and looking 12 years old. We at Marvelous Industries inspire our followers to be proud of themselves; from the patchy beards to the full grown wizardly beards. Yes we are talking to you too out there Gandalf - not all of us underlings can pull it off like you or your secret pal Dumbledore.

It is important to keep in mind that No Shave November is really meant to bring to light men's health issues revolving around cancer. To support these brave men each year we must cast away our beards at midnight October 31, and begin the month long journey towards awareness. We have to embrace the fine hair we are able to grow, which many cancer patients lose in their fight, and let it grow free and untamed!

Don't let this month pass by without showing your support for men's health. Men must stand together and fight for our lives against cancer, the support you show will not go unnoticed to those who seek it. This November be proud of the facial hair you grow by posting a picture of yourself to us on Twitter or Facebook @misloth.

Top Five Worst Game Titles

There is a certain amount of work and care that goes into making a video game, and the work is never truly done thanks to online updates. Gaming companies need to do a good job of actually listening to what their customers want and they have to at the very least try and come up with a solution to all problems their customers complain about.

Some video games really go that extra mile in terms of just being overall terrible, I mean who's idea is it to make certain games unbeatable; Or make certain prizes absolutely unobtainable just to troll the customer? It's just not fair and quite frankly gamers need goals that are reasonable and obtainable. If the game itself is just too hard then how can a player really dive into it, and will they really even want to buy the sequel?

As an expert in the field of gaming, I chose to highlight some of the worse games in history thus far. I do hope you enjoy my selection and if you think there's a game that didnt make the top five that should have, comment below so I can talk about it next time!

Fall Harvest Sale!

As the fall slowly rolls in with all of the pumpkin spice, Trick or Treating, and long family thanksgiving dinners, we wish to give back to all of our loyal followers. What better way than to offer exclusive, customizable costumes? We couldn't think of a better way either;

Nov. 1, 2016 through Dec. 7, 2016 all purchases you make will go towards winning your very own pumpkin costume in game! Another way you can win is to rack up enough points in game playing Harambe: Origins multiplayer, but why take all that time when you can just buy it and look fantastic forever? You'll be able to brag to all of your friends and enemies as you will also be able to use pumpkins as weapons and the bullets will be seeds.

Act now, because this is a once in a life time opportunity to get the costume as we will be removing it from our store for good. Additional discount codes can be found on our Twitter @misloth  and our Facebook.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer is a disease that we all wish would just be cured. To Support those struggling with one of the hardest things anyone can go through, we have decided to donate 80% of all Sloth Bucks proceeds to benefit the cause until November 30, 2016.

Anytime you purchase Sloth Bucks through us 80% goes towards finding a cure for these poor people. On top of that, we will also be offering special incentive bonuses to anyone who spends over $100, $200, and $300. Prizes will include: God mode for an entire day, meaning nothing can kill you inside of the game; Fly through walls for an entire day (no-clipping); And whole new weapon for Sloth of Duty (it's a secret, but trust us it is over powered.)

We encourage all of our lovely followers to post @misloth on Twitter using the hashtag:
' #MiSlothBC '. Include a photo of all the Sloth Bucks you have purchased, and a little blurb about why you think it's so important to find a cure, whomever has the most likes on Twitter will be awarded an additional secret prize.

Titanic, A Most Beautiful Wedding.

Every so often we like to party up with a few other companies to put on an interesting event for the community. Next week on October 21, 2016 'Zoo Mark' will be hosting their very first pet wedding. Never before has the public even seen such a fine event planned and conducted by '"Ama" Say Yes!'.

Feast your eyes upon the holy matrimony of Jack and Rose as they promise to never let go, forever. These two lovely gorillas have been living together for quite some time now, and it has inspired us here at Marvelous Industries to re-create the entire event in one of our upcoming games. (It's definitely maybe not possibly Harambe: Origins). We will also be handing out some Sloth Bucks and free trials of our latest title, Sloth of Duty.

As usual, we would like to thank our fine, majestic followers for their undying loyalty and we ask that you check out these two amazing blogs for without them, we would not have had such inspiration.: "Ama"Say Yes & Zoo Mark

Please don't forget to submit any ideas or artwork into us before the event itself, we love seeing what you guys come up with!
